Butterclock has an EP called First Prom out which kind of cements her sound and is a début record of sorts. To buy/download it you have to go to iTunes like a proper person. This EP is killer, a haunting mix a Parisian sounding vocals and slow rave RnB. This is just so good, like taking something oOoOO might have done and crawling all over it with layers of shimmering fogged out vocal. Gorgeous dark pop.
Starting as a Moscow based Witch House band back in 2010 and quickly evolved beyond the genre Vagina Vangi have now taken a further step with two new more commercial and more epic sounding EPs and a new name of H▼▲▼RPS (or Haarps) The first EP called "Mosses & Lichens" is a sprawling epic with 80s style crooning vocals, giant synths. It's a concious attempt to unite With House style drones and fuzz with stadium pop aesthetics. Its ambitious as a mother-fucker and is such a sudden divergence that its hard to tell if its genius or a near miss. It's almost cheesy at points but then it goes the other way so well all within the one song that you cant tell what's what. Download it for only 2 Euros from Bandcamp here.
Dark and atmospheric electronic alt-pop now from an artist called Pretty Heart. Moody sensual and richly layered with an all encompassing fog of sound and emotion. Brilliant bedroom production and great delivery. Pretty heart hails from Perrysburd, Ohio, her EP/Album entitled "Half Asleep" came out in August last year and is available to download from her Bandcamp for free or "name your price". This is a sumptuously gorgeous record from an artist to look out for in the future for sure.
Ender Belongs to Me is a reclusive experimental Brooklyn duo creating anxious and damaged, distant pop sounds, dark and home-made feeling digital output. They have an EP called Memory out via the label Crash Symbols, which has put out the EP as a limited edition cassette which you can buy here.
