Tesla Boy is a Russian band with an album out called "The Universe Made Of Darkness"... and it kicks ass over SO much dross out there at the moment, it rides a crooning 80s, early 90s house vibe with synths a plenty and a uber dancy vibe, it has a collab with Azari &III on one track and its signature tune "1991" is now my ring tone because it is just the most happy upbeat 90s house tune ever! I don't usually blog about bands that don't have free downloads or aren't unsigned but I highly doubt many people have heard of these guys and you really should even if they do ride the wave close to cheese island now and then.. Moscow Club are great, I'm not sure exactly what it is but these Japanese guys have some kind of original vein of influences that they are mining in perfect seclusion from most other indie/synth bands, you can hear close similarities but nothing really that comes close, tropical, funky, synthy '80s/'90s and revisionist but all done in such an original feeling way that it leaves me spun out and skidding helplessly on the wet tarmac of blogging. Love it.

Starting as a Moscow based Witch House band back in 2010 and quickly evolved beyond the genre Vagina Vangi have now taken a further step with two new more commercial and more epic sounding EPs and a new name of H▼▲▼RPS (or Haarps)
The first EP called "Mosses & Lichens" is a sprawling epic with 80s style crooning vocals, giant synths. It's a concious attempt to unite With House style drones and fuzz with stadium pop aesthetics. Its ambitious as a mother-fucker and is such a sudden divergence that its hard to tell if its genius or a near miss. It's almost cheesy at points but then it goes the other way so well all within the one song that you cant tell what's what.

Psychic Rites by Psychic Rites. This record came out just before Xmas on the Aural Sects label and is fantastic and deserving of a bit more notice I think. It's brilliantly produced, dark, droning, electro synth pop from Japan, with great vocals and great song structures, I'm so used to this kind of thing being instrumental and formless that when it has proper songs and shape it just comes alive so well. L.A boy/girl producer duo Peachblack make brilliant depressing 80s esque synth darkwave electro, their new track is Push & Pull and it's awesome... but its not a free download wtf! :(
Philadelphia's Skeleton Lipstick have released their début 10-track album 'Glows Then Melts' available to download from Airline Tapes Bandcamp. An album of 80's horror sounds merged with summer haze and synth warmed sunshine. Slow fuzzed out downtempo with glimmering electro moments.
Mr Kitty is all nu-gothic synth pop with spoken word vocals blending into CC style shouty parts and saw-toothed synth howling, slick 8-bit electro with darker overtones, atmospheric and moody. The album (available to download from the Aural Sects Bandcamp for free) is called Emotional/Physical.

80s Stallone always has a name that make the music that much better but with this album, Hotline, a twelve track journey into sweat flung, red throbbing dance floors and noir curling synth wonderlands the killer name is but a cute aside to what is clearly one amazing album. Pure synth pop groin thrusting cheese and wonder, housey blissed out moments giving way to down right filthy EBM for get fit classes on steroids, sweatbands at the ready, hit the floor and give me two hundred while looking me in the eye.

Like some kind of new audio crack Adeyhawke blasts your vestibule, cochlea and utricle with a sound so cheerfully relentless its hard to fault. Electro channelled through the brain of child allowed to stay up late to watch John Carpenter films, while proudly sporting an oversized Madonna tour tshirt as a pyjama top. Adeyhawke is from Ireland/Dublin and has a bunch of free downloads on their Soundcloud page if you have a quick look.
