The duo that is Feature make a great fuzzed out garage sound that is more about harmonies, tone, energy and bass heavy scrunching guitar sounds than it is about flat out garage surf tunes. This is textural and complex, garage extremists if you will similar to The Sticks if The Sticks had singing as a focus point.
Feature crash and sway through tracks, it should be minimal but like other great guitar/drum duos like The White Stripes or such, they turn their two piece into something larger than themselves.
This EP called Memory came out in October last year.

Chiptune, Seapunk, post trance, whatevs. Whitely is just some brilliant16 year old from Telford making music that is way summer vibes. He's got an Ep called Wonderful Life up on Bandcamp for free, its three chiptune seapunk gems complete with chattering dolphins and steel drum melodies. Go check out his Soundcloud for a whole load of more tracks.
Honeyblood, to girls who play songs about stuff, all lo-fi and grungey in a Scottish post punk style and I bloody love it. With crunched guitars and vocals far off in a large hall somewhere, the live and shody style recordings are just brilliant. Taking the White Stripes set up of guitar and drums this band kick ass in a melancholy way.
There's nothing to download as of yet and there cassette release is sold out but go like them on Facebook here and check out their Tumblr for loads of live videos and stuff.
Chalk is an artist from Miami grinding out constant new tunes on the edge of the wave. URL styles, meme-step, House, Slime, Seapunk, tropical, 90s ghetto. All very hit and miss but still great. Follow him on Tumblr here. Hunt through the thirty plus songs on his Soundcloud for all the free downloads, some awesome stuff on there.
DUNE F∀NGS is one dude from Michagan making really great music, all chiptune, seapunk, chillwave, Housey future rave sounding, magical and warm, maximalist and grooving. His album SN∀KEROOT is available to download from Bandcamp for $4.99. Go get it!
Tuesday morning is different from Monday, less water rave and more beautiful epic ghost folk. :Papercutz are from Portugal and makes some of the most "stop and stare in amazement" style music around. The track Where Beasts Die is the second single from their album "The Blur Between Us" out July 10. It's just amazing. Rivers was the first single.. it too is a gigantic masterpiece. Words like "haunted" "spectral" and "dark" are silly words that in no way convey the greatness of this band. Total winner.
Shit but LE1F is amazing and there are loads of free downloads on his Soundcloud - no way enough people know about this dude! Minimal feeling rap with a sweaty nightclub feel, super cool but lost amongst the ether, everyone get on this, where's the Super Super LE1F front cover etc. Blam! This is too good.
ΚΑΛΛΙΣΤΙ // KALLISTI makes proper rave, breakbeat and late nights style. I know nothing at all about this artist and none of the tracks are available to download but damn this is good, it'd be even better on a massive sound system at 3am in a dirty basement somewhere!
Ritualz graduated from Witch House sounds ages ago and now his own particular brand of new-age goth post-trance is really coming into its own. Outworld Music 1 is the first in what will be a series of EP releases and came out before the EP released on the Mishka label. "..these eps are meant to be different from other Ritualz releases, a way to explore new sounds being 90s trance, world and new age music the main influences behind these first 4 tracks." Download it now for $4 from Bandcamp. Well worth it.
One track.. just a Soundcloud page.. Çambodian is the artist.. really nice, really atmospheric, really cool. They say they are from Antactica, its pretty chill so maybe.
ARPEGI8 is a dude from Newcastle making new wave Seapunk. His tracks are some of the most awesome I've found anywhere so far, soft fluffy almost Chillwave sounds blended with watery magic and proper ocean world house and the sort of ambient rave that The Orb used to big up. Just brilliant. Go follow him on tumblr and check out his Soundcloud where everything is free to download.
While waiting to put out a proper album one of my favourite bands Cuss Words have gone and released a stop-gap EP called "It's Just A Game" With everything played by singer Brandon White this EP diverges from Cuss Words normal shoe-gazey trio grunge sound into a more electronic post rock world but still it feels just like Cuss Words with the catchy grunge pop hooks and epic gnarly vocals. This dude can write a hit song in his sleep, I highly urge you to go buy this for the $1 dollar it costs to download this from Bandcamp.
Another great release, Ready To Live by Thug Entrancer: "Ready to Live is the sound of exorcising ghosts and demons onto tape where they can be heard and not merely dismissed. In doing so it's not an attempt to escape life. It's the expression of an appreciation of life through the classic alchemy of transmuting dark times into positive vibes. Ready to Live is the kind of record designed for winding down from being on the edge."
You can download it from Bandcamp for free (or name your price)
Unusual Magic hails from Milan in Italy, a month ago this artist was doing commercial sounding remixes of pop hiphop stuff, then about two weeks ago blam! Seapunk hit them and they've gone all slow dream ocean jams and retro synth grooves.
Due to the publishers asserting their rights this is no longer free to download.. I got it though! :)
There's a new Teams release, a 7" featuring Dick Models out 28th April on White Iris Records. Side A is the new track Love Distance -a glossy and plush summer juice track all funked out Chillwave vibes and gospel house vocals. Side B is a new track featuring Dick Models, a bass as fuck heavy stomper of gurning summer Hawaii party vibes. So good.
