Apollo Vermouth -Sacred Flowers

"Midsummer --
I walk about with my staff.
Old farmers spot me
And call me over for a drink.
We sit in the fields using leaves for plates.
Pleasantly drunk and so happy I drift off peacefully
Sprawled out on a paddy bank.

How can I possibly sleep
This moonlit evening?
Come, my friends,
Let’s sing and dance
All night long.

Stretched out,
Tipsy,
Under the vast sky:
Splendid dreams
Beneath the cherry blossoms.

Wild roses,
Plucked from fields
Full of croaking frogs:
Float them in your wine
And enjoy every minute!"

April Larson

Fuzzed out drone and noise, awash with buzzing, aching, slow grinding mountains of enormous sonic stature. The soundtrack to the grinding of the giant cogs upon which the planets sun and moon rotate around the earth.

"April Larson is the representative of a tribe of nāga located along the coast of Louisiana. She listens to music through customized headphones with speakers placed along the jaw and translates music into sense-data through a collection of three interlaced brains. She continues her research in oneironautic listening and regularly delivers lectures on relevant tone-clusters to beehives and ghosts."

Download from the Bandcamp.

KVLT

KVLT by KVLT is a fantastic ambient album, 5 tracks of pure perfect minimalised crystal sound, majestic piano inflections and glacial droning dirged out atmospherics to die for. Beautiful like a National Geographic photo of a crocus pushing through newborn snow that has been scruffed up and lost down the back of a dusty Victorian cabinet.

Glina

"Glina is a doom jazz sextet from Northern Palmira. Their free improvisations attempts to combine monotonous drum roar, ognessive drone of the guitars and ominous cust of the spells to tell you a story full of gloom and desperation."

A band on the French record label Steak Au Zoo they have recently released a split Tape EP in collaboration with fellow label mates Arabian Horses. This Split release is a record of tribalistic drones and dark atmospheric noise, guttural and spent, deep, harsh and lavishly rent from the instruments that spawned it. Worth listening to, worth downloading, worth buying.

Vision Fortune

Cyclical droning worship music, rythm and repeat in occult symbiosis, let go and repent for this is Vision Fortune. Imagine Liars around the Drums Not Dead era taking things more guitar effected. They describe their sound as "Field recordings from some future lost civilisation." Heavy, awesome and effortless.

Go buy a 7" of theirs from the mail order label Mannequin here.
And go buy and download their brilliant five track EP out on cassette from the Italian Beach Babes label here.

Purple Haze by Raffet

Purple Haze by the artist Raffet is an album that puts the occult back into Witch House, you can feel the ancient monoliths rotating in space calling out across the heavens to their long banished masters, dark gods lost in time waiting in the ink black depths of space, lost on planets spun out by dying stars, in the last few moments of its life before they are sucked into black holes they hurl their planetary children off into the night at speeds approaching light speed, these balls of hurtling rock the last remaining haunts of the old ones, their bitter twisted conciousness stuck by ritual to these parent-less planets waiting for their time to come again.
