Teams is by far one of my favourite bands of recent months, creating a sonic assault of beauty with layers of dream like nostalgic chillwaved beats, sounds from blissful dancefloors and sunny nights, drifting and ambient at points, abstract R&b at others, always smooth and polished like perfumed air though sunglasses, warm and inviting. In fact Teams is so good I kinda haven't wanted to write anything about him 'cos it just seemed a bit intimidating.

Portland Oregon always produces good music and this is no exception, Magic Fades are a duo making awesome celestial sounds, these are blissed out smooth pop jams like Chillwave without any nostalgia, crooning vocals dispensing R&B-isms and star spangled magic through slow low sex music and house inspired shoe gaze electronica. Beautiful stuff, there are even some guitar solos in there! SOFT KILL - FROM THIS POINT ON
Great video for a great band but my interest lies primarily with the brilliant DIY feeling video made for the band by †CRCKHEAD†. Gothic, video styled, filmed off the tv, witch house in the woods, bleak mid winter, urban post apocalyptic, reclaimed by nature, ruins of rust comes the new goth, caps but inverted crosses, fashion but dirt, lost in the wilderness, bleached out.

I once put on a club night where YOU LOVE HER COZ SHE'S DEAD played, it was good, trash hardcore screaming, raveing and fist pumping stuff. They are the usual "boy on sounds girl screaming" duo set up ala Crystal Castles etc but its different and more punk in a Republica kinda way, post-nu-rave 8-bit something or other. Plus the singer is way hot! I have two of their t.shirts.

statement of intent, or an intense statement..
...this blog might be taking a less Noise more Rave direction. My brain is less excited by long abstract noise and experimental tracks and more titillated by post rave kind of sounds.. things with a better production range and a bit more upbeat, I dunno the next thing I post will probably contradict this statement, but hey I just feel I need to up my sonic game a bit and not wander down a narrowing avenue of hard to listen to tracks. I said I'd always blog this band and here we go with a 3rd sample heavy track, Pyramids Of Mu - How Is Annie? sad it cuts off so dead at the end but it is off the Phantasma Disques Tribute To Twin Peaks Vol. 2, the OKKVLT and WITCH HOUSE guide to Twin Peaks (LIMITED TO 125 FAN CDRs) so that's fair enough. Loving this slowed down 90s-esque sound, brilliant!

Pyramids Of Mu - Illuminatu
My new favourite band Pyramids Of Mu have internet presence beyond their singular Vimeo profile, I blogged their video and remix of Mater Supiria Visions - Das Haus der Hexe a few days ago and today they have a Soundcloud with the track "Illuminatu" on it! How closely connected to Mater Suspiria Vision there are remains to be seen but they are signed to their label Phantasma Disques. So I'm just excited to see what else issues forth from their vaguely KLF inspired sonic brains!
