Bosco Delrey, EP releases finally!!

Hell yeah! Bosco Delrey has been a long running favourite on this blog and now he's got two EPs/double A side singles out via Mad Decent.

The first is his proper debut release called Wild One/Evil Lives.

Its all 60s organ and modern beat programming, stoned rock gospel vocals and a real danceable groove!

The second EP/Single is called Space Junky/My My Racecar. The Space Junky track is a Drop The Lime reworking of Bosco Delreys song that emerged last year.

Its faster than before, a nice shuffling beat driving it along, dancehall basslines, crisp psychedelic guitars and a cleaner production sound.

Both EPs can both be bought on Amazon here and here. AND later this moth Bosco Delrey 7" vinyl is coming out! So glad stuff is finally happening for him!!

This is kind of weird writing about a scene and club night I've never been to but anyway.. Midnight Till Death is a club night at Don Pedros (90 Manhattan Avenue between Boerum & McKibbon) in Brooklyn.

This is a well cool (I hesitate but think I'm 100% correct in saying) scuzy, undergound gig venue! Midnight Till Death has been going for about 2 years and is on once a month. Visualise loads of bands you wont ever have heard of but will do, shared equitment, hand drawn posters, scene kids, $6 entry, projectors, distortion and, at the one last friday, Mad Decents Bosco Delray! A Fokkawolfe favourite Bosco Delray should be way bigger than he is, we have to wait for the album out this year to see what happens. At the moment he's playing gigs all over NYC. Here's some pics of his set from the night!




























At next months Midnight Till Death a great punk band called Cerebral Ballzy will be playing, who if the videos of their live shows are anything to go by (which of course they are!) totally blow shit away! "Bad Brains on crystal meth." - NY Press

Bosco Delrey

Bosco Delrey is a New Jersey born artist that makes psychedelic rockabilly dancehall. Think Simple Kid with breakbeats or Donavan with toasting and bass!
Also reminds me of a spaced out version of Brightons very own Mc Fashion, its got the same ska/beats factor.

He's been about (on myspace at least!) for the last 4 years but only recently seems to be kicking it! But is still unsigned!
There's been some air play on Sindens show on KISS fm. And he appears in the Mad Decent block party video I've posted recently, looking both out of place and totally at home!

Although unsigned he has 2 songs out with Klash City Records; "Space Junky" and "Round Round (feat. 77Klash)" Although there are rumours of something coming out in January next year! Both these tracks can be downloaded from RCRDLBL.

This guy is brilliant and very hard to find anything on him anywhere on the internet! People are missing out!
